The context
A Haussmann-era Parisian apartment, with all the charm of a period building — mouldings, original parquet, generous ceiling heights. The challenge: to modernise the use and the mood without betraying the soul of the place.

My role
A private commission led as decorative design: furniture selection, choice of textiles, lighting and art direction. I also produced 3D visualisations to validate the moods with the client before any purchase.

The approach & the 3D
The guiding choice: to retain and showcase the existing fabric — mouldings preserved, original parquet restored, heights respected. The 3D renders made it possible to test furniture layouts and lighting moods, and to settle each decision with confidence.

Materials & light
A restrained, timeless palette — white, greige, touches of black. Contemporary furniture as a counterpoint to the classical mouldings, textiles in natural materials, and lighting designed to reveal the volumes.
The result
An apartment where the contemporary converses with the Haussmann heritage, without rupture. A measured intervention that favours elegance and choices that last.
